Location is the best!
- What did you like most?The location was awesome & convenient to Fremont street. Walking distance to many restaurants & bars. Location, location, location!!
- Was there anything you didn't like?This was our second time staying at the Oasis at Gold Spike, and our first time staying above the "club" area it was a little annoying having to be escorted to & from the elevator, couldn't grab a drink at the bar if we wanted to on the weekend night, they were pretty strict.. Also we would have really preferred a room by the pool which is where we stayed at our first visit here at this hotel, we are in our mid 40's would have been nice to have a bit more privacy when coming & going from our room & less noise. Also we were there for a wedding & it was very difficult getting ready as there wasn't a full length mirror any where in our room, our bathroom was teeny-tiny, so two people getting ready in one over the counter mirror was nearly impossible. Plus we had to request for an iron & ironing board since the room wasn't equipped with one. Which they did deliver right away! Also, I'm a the type of person that loves to unpack. And there was no drawers or a closet to hang close up. I think it's the type of room that we we're put in maybe because I don't remember the last room we were in being like that? Oh, & I thought it was a bit weird that there wasn't a telephone to reach the front desk in the room. However, they do communicate via text message, which could be difficult for people that aren't text-tech-savvy.
